‘Unconscionable’ wait times reported by campers arriving at Coachella

Campers trying to get into the Coachella campground for this weekend’s music festival are calling this year’s process a nightmare.

Many have taken to social media to report wait times in excess of 8 hours to get into the campground.

“8 hours in line for @coachella camping and still nowhere close. This is beyond unacceptable. You charge thousands and can’t manage basic logistics? What a joke #Coachella2025,” Edgar Osornio posted on X.

A viewer who contacted KTLA said some were waiting more than 12 hours to get into the camping area.

“No food, no water, no bathrooms. The staffing seems to be completely inadequate, there is little to no oversight and concertgoers are very unhappy,” Robert stated in an email.

Another social media user even invoked the infamous Fyre Festival in a post.

“Coachella camping entry line is unconscionable tbh. fyre fest 2 (still in line to get in. 4 hours so far)” @MysteryAdExec stated on X.

Authorities in Coachella Valley said all agencies had been dispatched to help with the influx of traffic, not just around the grounds but throughout the region.

In the past, Coachella visitors said it had taken about two hours to get into the campgrounds. It was unclear what may have changed in this year’s admission process.
