One bicyclist was killed and two others hospitalized after the driver of a vehicle hit three bicyclists in Huntington Beach Monday morning, Oct. 20, authorities said.
Police were called to Pacific Coast Highway, between Beach Boulevard and Newland Street, just past 6:45 a.m. where officers found a gold Mercedes-Benz and the three bicyclists, Huntington Beach police spokesman Corbin Carson said.
It was unclear what led up to the crash.
The one bicyclist died at the scene.
Police were investigating whether speed, distracted driving, drugs or alcohol may have factored into the crash.
