A bear taking a dip in the backyard pool of a Southern California home sparked a conversation that inevitably led to a “6-7” comment on the KTLA 5 Morning News.
Video posted on Citizen.com showed the bear taking a leisurely dip on the edge of a pool in Altadena before swimming over the diving board. Although the bear never actually used the diving board, the idea inspired the following exchange.
“He was going for a 10, but he didn’t quite make it when he made his dive,” KTLA’s Chris Schauble said tongue-in-cheek. “He got a 9.5.”
“No, he got a 6-7,” Henry DiCarlo chimed in.
“Don’t even start with the 6-7,” Chris responded with a chuckle.

The bear eventually climbed out of the pool and left the yard.
The Altadena Sheriff’s Station recently said there has been an increase in bear sightings in the foothill neighborhoods and shared tips on how to keep the animals away from your property.
Authorities suggested keeping garbage in bearproof containers, picking up fallen fruit from trees, and cleaning grills immediately after use.
