Mater Dei won the CIF State Open Division championship in 2023.

The Monarchs defeated Sierra Canyon in the CIF Southern California Regional Open Division final on Tuesday. They lost to Sierra Canyon in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 final on Nov. 8.

Cypress won the CIF Southern Section Division 3 championship. The Centurions beat top-seeded Liberty in the SoCal Regional finals.

Capistrano Valley Christian lost in the CIF-SS Division 6 finals. Because CIF-SS semifinalists qualify for the CIF Southern California Regional, Capistrano Valley Christian’s Eagles were invited to participate in the SoCal Regional and took an interesting and challenging route to advance to Saturday’s state finals..

The Eagles were 10-21-1 going into the Regional and won four Regional matches, three of which were away matches including wins over SoCal Regional Division IV top-seeded Nipomo and at Mammoth, 352 miles from the Capistrano Valley Christian campus, in the SoCal Regional Division IV final on Tuesday.

Spectator admission for the CIF State girls volleyball finals is $12 for adults and $8 for senior citizens, students and children 5 years old and older. Parking for Saturday’s finals is $5, cash only at kiosks on campus.
