The Orange County girls basketball rankings as of Tuesday, Dec. 9. The team records are through Monday, Dec. 8.

Notable this week: Mater Dei remains No. 1 as it prepares to play host to No. 5 San Clemente on Saturday. … JSerra rises four spots to No. 2 after finishing second to Ontario Christian (9-0) in the Troy Classic. … Santa Margarita climbs six places to No. 6 after upsetting Villa Park in overtime in the finals of the Villa Park-Brea Olinda Winter Shootout.

ORANGE COUNTY GIRLS BASKETBALL TOP 25

1. Mater Dei (6-0): Harmony Golightly scored 25 points, including seven 3-pointers, in a 62-47 win against West of Utah.

2. JSerra (8-2): Point guard Rosie Santos helped guide the Lions past higher-ranked Sage Hill, Sierra Canyon and San Clemente in the Troy Classic.

3. Fairmont Prep (3-3): Freshman post Aaliyah Mack had 17 points and 12 rebounds in a 63-41 loss to Sierra Canyon in the third-place game of the Troy Classic.

4. Sage Hill (5-4): Kamdyn Klamberg scored 14 points in a 59-56 loss to Oak Park in the fifth-place game of the Troy Classic.

5. San Clemente (5-4): Izzy Sims had 13 points in a 63-45 loss to Moreno Valley to close out the Troy Classic.

6. Santa Margarita (7-2): The Eagles have won seven of their past eight games heading into a clash with Sage Hill in the Maya Enomoto Showcase on Saturday at Esperanza at 7 p.m.

7. Villa Park (7-1): Sophomore Lauren Wolfe had 19 points and seven rebounds in a 51-48 loss to Santa Margarita in overtime in the finals of the Villa Park-Brea Olinda Winter Shootout.
