Disneyland’s Napa Rose: First look inside the remodeled restaurant

Disneyland’s award-winning Napa Rose will soon swing open its doors following a 10-month renovation that retained the California Craftsman design and rustic elegance while completely reimagining the 25-year-old wine country-themed fine dining restaurant.

Napa Rose hosted a media preview on Tuesday, Feb. 3 ahead of the grand reopening on Friday, Feb. 6 at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel.

Napa Rose closed in April 2025 for a “luxurious transformation” that took longer than expected — with the initial return date delayed from fall 2025 to early 2026.

While the overall footprint hasn’t expanded, everything about the restaurant has changed except for the exhibition kitchen and the sign next to the front door.

The former open floor dining room has been carved into cozy nooks that feel more intimate and private. The private dining room at the back of the restaurant has been moved to the front near the entrance.

A new chef’s island across from the bar will handle food orders from lounge guests who want to pop in for a quick bite and a glass of wine before heading back into the parks.

The main dining room and chef’s counter will only offer fixed price meals with multiple choices at each of the courses, elevating the fine dining restaurant to a new level of service to compliment the award-winning food.

Wine is now an even bigger star of the show with 3,800 bottles on display in climate controlled cabinets lining the walls throughout the restaurant.

The California wine country theme has been refreshed with subtle storytelling nods in earth tones that tell the history of winemaking and the life cycle of a vine.

The refurbishment introduced reclaimed French oak flooring and columns, hand-pinged artisan metals and a grapevine-inspired chandelier in the remodeled main dining room.

The chef’s counter with a view of the exhibition kitchen has been expanded — more than doubling the amount of seating.

Fixed price seasonal menus will start at $188 per person in the main dining room and $250 per person at the chef’s counter with optional wine pairings at $150, $300 or $500.

Disneyland Culinary Director of Signature Dining Andrew Sutton has been at the helm of Napa Rose since the restaurant opened in 2001 along with Disney California Adventure, Disney’s Grand California Hotel and Downtown Disney.
