ORANGE COUNTY GIRLS WATER POLO TOP 10

(Records through Tuesday, Feb. 10)

1. Newport Harbor (25-3): The Sailors carry a 10-match winning streak into their Group B clash against visiting Oaks Christian in the CIF-SS Open Division on Wednesday. Newport Harbor can advance to the semifinals with a victory. Previous ranking: 1

2. Mater Dei (26-2): The Monarchs can reach the Open Division semifinals with a victory against visiting Orange Lutheran on Wednesday in Group A. Previous ranking: 2

3. Orange Lutheran (19-8): The Lancers appear headed to at least the crossover stage of the Open Division since they beat Long Beach Wilson 11-8. Previous ranking: 3

4. Foothill (18-11): Gianna Romero and Ava Rowe each netted four as the Knights handled Buena 13-6 in the first round of the Division 1 playoffs. Foothill plays Laguna Beach at Capistrano Valley High in the quarterfinals Thursday. Previous ranking: 4

5. JSerra (16-11): The Lions play host to Corona del Mar on Wednesday in a knockout match in Group B in the Open Division playoffs. Previous ranking: 5

6. San Clemente (20-8): The Tritons play Santiago of Corona in the Division 1 quarterfinals at Capistrano Valley on Thursday. Previous ranking: 6

7. Corona del Mar (17-10): The Sea Queens lost to JSerra 11-8 at the recent Irvine SoCal tournament. Previous ranking: 7

8. Beckman (15-11): The Patriots play at Harvard-Westlake in the Division 1 quarterfinals Thursday. Previous ranking: 8

9. Los Alamitos (13-15): The Griffins fell to Santiago of Corona 10-8 in the first round of the Division 1 playoffs. Previous ranking: 9

10. Laguna Beach (18-11): The Breakers impressed in a 14-8 win against O.C. Top 10 contender Sunny Hills in first round of Division 1 playoffs. Previous ranking: 10
