Border Patrol agents raid Pomona auto body shop, mayor says

A law enforcement raid of a Pomona auto body shop Friday morning involved U.S. Border Patrol agents, according to the city’s mayor, Tim Sandoval.

Sandoval confirmed to KTLA that he was outside the shop on the 200 block of E. Holt Avenue and can be seen in video footage provided by a witness.

At least ten law enforcement officers are seen standing at the shop’s entrance, several carrying weapons.

In the video, Sandoval is heard talking to the group of law enforcement members, telling them he knows they are doing their job, but says they are terrorizing the community.

It is still unclear which other agencies were involved.

Sandoval tells KTLA he does not know any details about the operation, and that he went to the shop to protest the federal raids that have been happening in the city.

He does not believe anyone was taken into custody in this operation.

On Tuesday, a federal raid outside a Pomona Home Depot store led to ten day laborers taken into custody by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents.
