Knott’s Berry Farm closes 7 attractions heading into Boysenberry Festival

Knott’s Berry Farm will close seven attractions for seasonal refurbishments following the annual Peanuts Celebration as the Buena Park theme park prepares for the start of the 2026 Boysenberry Festival.

Kite Flyer, Wipeout, Balloon Race, La Revolucion, Linus Launcher, Surfside Gliders and Los Voladores will temporarily close in March as part of the standard refurbishment schedule at Knott’s Berry Farm.

The seven new ride closures join GhostRider, Timber Mountain Log Ride and Montezooma’s Revenge that continue to undergo refurbishment.

The Knott’s Peanuts Celebration will end on Sunday, Feb. 22 with the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival kicking off on March 13.

The 2014 Charlie Brown’s Kite Flyer junior wave swinger in Camp Snoopy will be closed for refurbishment from Monday, Feb. 23 through March 6.

The 1999 Wipeout circular spinning ride in the Boardwalk area of the park, 1992 Balloon Race in Camp Snoopy and 2003 La Revolucion pendulum swing in Fiesta Village will all be closed for brief refurbishments March 2-6.

The 2014 Linus Launcher in Camp Snoopy will undergo a brief refurbishment March 9-13.

The 2013 Surfside Gliders flying scooter in the Boardwalk section of the park and 1986 Los Voladores wave swinger in Fiesta Village will both be closed for refurbishment March 9-20.

The 1998 GhostRider wooden roller coaster in Ghost Town built by Custom Coasters International remains closed for seasonal refurbishment through March 6.

The 1969 Timber Mountain Log Ride in Ghost Town built by legendary Knott’s Berry Farm ridemaker Bud Hurlbut remains closed for a seven-week refurbishment that stretches through March 13.

Montezooma’s Revenge continues to undergo major renovations in Fiesta Village that will transform the historic flywheel launch coaster with a new randomized launch sequence.

Montezooma’s Revenge has sat partially disassembled since 2022 when the park announced plans to reimagine the ride as Montezooma: The Forbidden Fortress. The 1978 Anton Schwarzkopf shuttle loop coaster was granted American Coaster Enthusiasts landmark status in 2019.
