Newport Beach bayfront home with link to Vegas Strip seeks $26 million

A bayfront Newport Beach home on a double lot just hit the market for $25.5 million.

City permits going back as far as April 1965 and county records show the property previously belonged to Las Vegas power couple Joyce and Jerome D. “Jerry” Mack. In 1954, he co-founded a bank that helped finance development on the Strip decades before Bank of America acquired it for nearly $400 million. He also helped establish what became University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

In March 1999, PropertyShark.com shows Joyce Mack passed ownership of the trust to daughter Karen Mack, an executive producer of TV holiday specials.
