The California Highway Patrol has issued an Amber Alert for a 7-year-old boy that was abducted in Kern County.
Angel Wagner was last seen late Thursday evening, around 11:50 p.m., on the 1300 block of Sims Street in Ridgecrest.
He’s believed to be with 42-year-old Michael Abbott, according to CHP. Abbott’s relationship to the child was not disclosed, but the Amber Alert describes the incident as an abduction.
The 7-year-old Wagner is described a boy with red hair and brown eyes. He’s about 4 feet 2 inches and weighs around 70 pounds, officials said.
Abbott is described as 5 feet 10 inches and around 250 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He’s believed to be driving a white 2025 GMC Acadia with the license plate 9SYA003.
The Amber Alert includes Kern and Los Angeles counties, CHP said.
