Police are in pursuit of a stolen white pickup truck in the West Side region of Los Angeles County on Tuesday.
It was unclear exactly when and where the pursuit began, but aerial video from Sky5 showed the vehicle in the Santa Monica area around 11:45 a.m.
At one point during the chase, the driver in the white pickup truck came to a stop, prompting police to open their doors in case the suspect surrendered, but then sped off again.
Police later attempted a pit maneuver, causing damage to the back end of the truck, but the suspect continued evading officers.
He pumped his fist at officers with his window down just before the pit maneuver was attempted.
Sky5 followed the truck as it made several right turns on the streets of Santa Monica, including Ocean Park Boulevard, Euclid Street and Lincoln Boulevard, headed toward Venice.
