Police in Huntington Beach were involved in a shooting Thursday evening after responding to a “family disturbance,” authorities said.
Few details were available late Thursday.
The shooting occurred at around 7 p.m. at a location on the 18000 block of Mora Kai Lane after police responded to reports of a family disturbance that involved a “suicidal subject,” according to a news release.
“Upon arrival, officers made contact with an individual and an officer-involved shooting occurred,” the release said.
The identity and condition of the person who apparently was shot was not immediately known. What led to the shooting is also not known.
