An “American Idol” music supervisor and her husband were found shot dead inside an Encino home during a welfare check on Monday, July 14, authorities said.
Officers made entry into a home in the 4700 block of White Oak Place about 2:30 p.m. and found both the man and woman with gunshots, a spokesperson with the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Robin Kaye, a music supervisor, and her husband, Thomas DeLuca were found dead in their home, an “American Idol” spokesperson confirmed to the Associated Press.
“Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her,” an “American Idol” spokesperson told the Associated Press in a statement. “Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time.”
Kaye had worked in the music department on various Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, the NAACP Image Awards and shows like “Lip Sync Battle” and “The Singing Bee,” according to her IMDb profile.
Los Angeles police had received a call of gunshots several hours earlier, a department spokesperson said. The deaths are being investigated as homicides.

Both were shot in the head, according to broadcast reports.
The home sits in an upscale neighborhood south of Ventura Boulevard.
