A 59-year-old Anaheim man was behind bars on suspicion of shooting to death another man at a motel in the city over the weekend, authorities said.
Anaheim officers were called to the Villa Inn, at 733 S. Beach Blvd., on a report of a shooting just before 6:15 p.m. Saturday, June 14.
They found a 60-year-old man with at least one gunshot wound, Sgt. Matt Sutter said. He was hospitalized but died.
Officers quickly identified Amir Karkehabadi as the suspect, arrested him at the motel and found a handgun, Sutter said.
The relationship between Karkehabadi and the victim, if any, was not disclosed by police. The motive was under investigation.
The victim was not identified by police pending notification of his relatives.
