A man was shot and killed in a Santa Ana parking lot on Friday night, March 28, police said.
Around 9:40 p.m., the Santa Ana Police Department received a report of a shooting in the parking lot of Riverview Park on West 21st Street.
Officers located an unresponsive 46-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Paramedics transported the man to a hospital, where he was later declared dead.
The victim’s identity has not been released, pending notification of his family.
The motive behind the shooting is under investigation. It is unknown whether the shooting was gang-related, police spokeswoman Natalia Garcia said.
