A man was shot and killed along Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach Tuesday night, May 27.
Officers were called to the 200 block of PCH, between Long Beach Boulevard and Locust Avenue, about 11 p.m. on a report of shots fired, police said.
They found the man with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He died at the scene.
Detectives were working to uncover the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting and to determine who shot him.
Three to four people were seen running away from the scene after the shooting, according to reports from the scene. Police did not immediately confirm those reports.
The victim’s identity was withheld by police pending notification of his relatives.
