Man stabbed to death in Fullerton, suspect arrested following crash in Buena Park

A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing a man to death in Fullerton Sunday night, Jan. 25, and fleeing to Buena Park and causing a hit-and-run crash, authorities said.

Francisco Soriano Jr. of Fullerton was taken into custody by Buena Park police shortly after the crash, with Fullerton police detectives identifying him as the suspect in their homicide investigation, Fullerton police spokeswoman Kristy Wells said.

Shortly before 8:55 p.m., Fullerton police were called to Euclid Street and Baker Avenue after a caller reported seeing a man being stabbed and possibly run over by a car, Wells said.

Police found the man dead with multiple stab wounds, Wells said.

Officers broadcast a suspect description to surrounding law-enforcement agencies, and a short time later Buena Park police responded to the report of the hit-and-run, Wells said.

A Toyota sedan had run into a center median with bushes.

The victim’s identity was withheld by police pending notification of his relatives.
