Disneyland will close four attractions for seasonal refurbishments as the Anaheim theme park resort prepares for the busy Halloween season that stretches from August through October.
Haunted Mansion, Radiator Spring Racers, Pixie Hollow and “Fantasmic” will temporarily close in August or September as part of the standard refurbishment schedule at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

The four new attraction closures join Star Tours, Storybook Land Canal Boats, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail and “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” that were already shuttered for refurbishment.
The Haunted Mansion in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square will be closed for refurbishment Aug. 9-21 in preparation for reopening in holiday mode on Aug. 22.

Radiator Spring Racers in DCA’s Cars Land will close for an extended refurbishment on Aug. 18 that will stretch through at least Sept. 10.
Pixie Hollow in Fantasyland will be closed on Aug. 26 and 28 and Sept. 2, 4 and 7-10 after the Disneyland character meet-and-greet area was recently closed for a 10-month refurbishment.

The “Fantasmic” nighttime spectacular on Disneyland’s Rivers of America will be dark Aug. 24-28, Sept. 1-4 and Sept. 7-10.
The Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in DCA’s Grizzly Peak will return Aug. 15 following the installation of the Villains Grove haunted walk-through attraction for the Oogie Boogie Bash special event.
The Star Tours motion simulator in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland will return on Sept. 5 after an extended refurbishment that began in late June.

Storybook Land Canal Boats and Casey Jr. Circus Train will remain closed through at least Sept. 10 as the intertwined Fantasyland attractions undergo an extended refurbishment that began in July.
The “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” show closed in April and is not expected to return until Fall 2026 after the yearlong run of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration.

The new “Walt Disney — A Magical Life” that debuted in July will run by itself during its initial run and will then play in rotation with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” in Disneyland’s Main Street Opera House.
