Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion will soon serve as an eerie new wedding venue for brooding brides looking for a morbid place dripping with tales of mourning, dread and murder to exchange their wedding vows and begin their happily ever after.

Disneyland will begin offering weddings in July for the first time in front of the Haunted Mansion starting at $25,000 to $40,000, according to the official Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons website.

Walt Disney Imagineering recently updated the backstory for the Haunted Mansion by turning the attic bride Constance Hatchway from an axe murderer who beheads her wealthy husbands for their fortunes into a brooding bride mourning the loss of her husbands and filled with the overwhelming dread of lost love.

The new Haunted Mansion Courtyard wedding venue joins more than a dozen locations already available throughout the Disneyland resort.

The Haunted Mansion Courtyard wedding venue can be booked for early morning ceremonies before Disneyland opens for party sizes reaching up to 25 guests. The $25,000 to $40,000 wedding package includes an officiant, decor and photography with prices varying depending on the day of the week.

The price rises quickly from there with dinner for 25 guests ($4,125 to $5,250), floral arrangements and bouquets ($7,500), Mickey and Minnie appearances ($2,750) and Crystal Coach carriage rental ($4,500) all handled in-house by Disney wedding planners.

That doesn’t include the live music, hosted or cash bar and the custom wedding cake designed by Disneyland’s pastry chefs.

Couples interested in a Haunted Mansion-themed wedding can also get married inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor cocktail lounge aboard the new Disney Destiny cruise ship starting on May 14.

Disneyland recently added the Magnolia Park Gazebo and Magnolia Park Terrace next to the Haunted Mansion to the in-park wedding venue lineup that already included Fantasy Faire Garden, Small World Mall and the Disney Animation Building.

All of those locations can’t compare price-wise to the Sleeping Beauty Castle Forecourt wedding venue in Disneyland that starts at $100,000.

Bargain-hunting Disney brides will have to settle for a ceremony in one of the seven venues at the Disneyland Hotel or Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel that start at $15,000.
