An air of secrecy surrounds an upcoming concert at Disneyland starring the voices of Moana, Tiana, Belle and Ariel who will sing iconic songs from their animated films in a tribute to Disney Princesses that is expected to draw large crowds to the Anaheim theme park.
Disneyland will host a one-of-a-kind concert this week in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle in honor of Disney’s World Princess Week.
The twist: Disneyland won’t say when the concert will be filmed at the park in hopes of managing crowds and expectations.

Disneyland guests in the park on the date and time of the World Princess Week concert taping may have the opportunity to watch the performance, according to Disneyland officials.
The pre-taped World Princess Week concert will debut on YouTube on Friday, Aug. 29 and at a later date on the Disney+ streaming service, according to Disneyland officials.

The World Princess Week concert at Disneyland will feature Auli’i Cravalho (voice of Moana in 2016’s “Moana”), Anika Noni Rose (voice of Tiana in 2009’s “The Princess and the Frog”), Paige O’Hara (voice of Belle from 1991’s “Beauty and the Beast”) and Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel from 1989’s “The Little Mermaid”).
The concert will be hosted by two other Disney voice actresses — Ginnifer Goodwin (voice of Judy Hopps in 2016’s “Zootopia” and Snow White in the “Once Upon a Time” TV series) and Susan Egan (voice of Megara in 1997’s “Hercules” and Belle in “Beauty and the Beast” on Broadway).

Disneyland has not announced when the concert will be filmed during Disney’s World Princess Week. The taping could take place during or after park hours anytime this week.
Disneyland crews would likely have to assemble a stage in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle —ignalling to visitors that the Princess Week concert was imminent.
Managing a growing crowd all day in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle could be a logistical nightmare for Disneyland on par with the Candlelight concerts or ABC holiday television specials.

Disneyland Magic Key annual passholders seem to be betting the concert will be held on Aug. 29 — with all reservations sold out for all levels of passes on Friday.
Disneyland annual passholders would likely be disappointed if Disney teased a one-of-a-kind concert in the park and then filmed it after hours in front of a simulated audience.

Benson has already been at Disney California Adventure to film an interview on Ariel’s Undersea Adventure dark ride that will appear on YouTube on Aug. 27.
Benson was interviewed aboard the ride by “Stairwell Siren” content creator and singer Lauren Paley — who has 11 million followers on TikTok.
