Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration that pressed pause during the Halloween and Christmas seasons will return in the new year and continue through the summer with most — but not all — of the original entertainment lineup.
The 70th anniversary entertainment lineup will begin returning on Thursday, Jan. 8 after the Christmas holiday season ends at the Anaheim theme parks on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
The 15-month celebration that began on May 16, 2025 will officially come to an end on Aug. 9, 2026.

The “Believe in Holiday Magic” fireworks show and A Christmas Fantasy parade at Disneyland will end for the season on Jan. 7.
The Disney California Adventure holiday lineup will also wrap up with the Viva Navidad Street Party ending on Sunday, Jan. 4 and Disney’s Festival of the Holidays food festival coming to a close on Jan. 7.

Disneyland’s “Wondrous Journeys” nighttime spectacular that paused during the Halloween and Christmas seasons will return in projections-only mode on Jan. 8 and with fireworks on Jan. 9.
The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade will be back on Jan. 9 with Disney characters waving from Main Street U.S.A. vehicles and marching along Disneyland’s parade route.

The Paint the Night nighttime parade will return Jan. 30 after pausing during the winter holiday season.
The new “World of Color Happiness” water show on DCA’s Paradise Bay and “Tapestry of Happiness” projection show on Disneyland’s It’s a Small World facade played throughout the Halloween and Christmas holiday seasons. Both shows will continue their run as the rest of the 70th anniversary entertainment resumes.

The Pixar-themed Better Together parade that ran throughout summer 2025 in DCA as part of the 70th anniversary entertainment package won’t return in January after the holiday pause.
Disneyland’s anniversary party will get a boost from DCA’s Lunar New Year event that kicks off on Jan. 23, the Disney Food & Wine Festival starting on March 6 and the “Bluey’s Best Day Ever” musical comedy show debuting March 22 in the Fantasyland Theatre.
