Adoption fees discounted at L.A.-area shelters for California Adopt-a-Pet Day

In celebration of California Adopt-a-Pet Day, spcaLA is offering $25 adoptions for dogs, cats and kittens this Saturday, June 7, at all three of its adoption centers.

The one-day special is part of a statewide effort to encourage pet adoption and reduce the number of animals in shelters.

The animal welfare agency will waive standard adoption fees on all eligible pets, with some exclusions.

The discounted adoptions will be available during regular business hours at the following locations:

  • spcaLA Pet Adoption Center – 5026 W. Jefferson Blvd., Los Angeles
    • Open 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • spcaLA South Bay Pet Adoption Center – 12910 Yukon Ave., Hawthorne
    • Open 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • spcaLA PD Pitchford Companion Animal Village – 7700 E. Spring St., Long Beach
    • Open 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

Founded in 1877, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles is one of the region’s oldest and most active animal welfare organizations, providing services ranging from adoptions to cruelty investigations, humane education, and disaster response.

Puppies under 3 months are not included in the promotion, and additional fees may apply for spay/neuter deposits or medications. Standard adoption requirements still apply.
