Police were called to break up a protest after drivers in pickup trucks and cars took over an intersection in Los Angeles’ Pacoima neighborhood Thursday night.
A crowd of about 150 demonstrators marched with flags and carried signs near the intersection of Van Nuys and Laurel Canyon boulevards.
The large group was calling for an end to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents’ deportation operations in Southern California.
Video showed demonstrators setting off fireworks, climbing light poles and performing stunts in the intersection.
The protest continued for several hours before a video showed Los Angeles Police Department officers moving in to break it up around midnight.
No arrests were made and no injuries were reported, freelance media firm KNN.News reported.
