Bill to study inequalities in youth sports, attacked by critics as supporting transgender athletes, signed by Newsom

The legislation would create a commission to examine whether a new state board or department is needed to improve access to sports regardless of race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, income or geographic location.
