Anti-ICE demonstrators clashed with police for the second straight night outside a detention center in Downtown Los Angeles.
Protesters gathered in front of the federal Metropolitan Detention Center on Alameda Street Thursday evening following recent unconfirmed reports of immigration enforcement actions in the Los Angeles area.
The Los Angeles Police Department formed skirmish lines around 11:30 p.m. in the area of North Alameda Street between East Temple and East Aliso streets, successfully pushing about 50 protesters out of the area.
An ambulance was called to the scene shortly after the crowd was dispersed.
A demonstrator said that the injured person was also there to protest and hit his head when officers took him to the ground. The patient was taken from the scene in unknown condition.
Police have not released the identity of the person or confirmed how the injury occurred.

A similar scene occurred Wednesday night when a demonstration resulted in National Guard members lining up in tactical gear.
A traffic advisory was issued at one point, but there were no reports of tear gas or flash bangs deployed or a declaration of an unlawful assembly in that incident.
