Disneyland is preparing to close one of its most popular rides next month for refurbishment as the park celebrates its 70th anniversary season.
The resort has not made an official announcement, but according to the Daily Events calendar on Disneyland’s website, the iconic Haunted Mansion ride will be “temporarily unavailable” beginning Aug. 11.
The ride remains closed for the remainder of the website’s available dates, but is expected to reopen on Aug. 22 after undergoing its seasonal transformation inspired by Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” the Daily Mail says.
The holiday version of the Haunted Mansion features characters and props from the movie and typically remains in place into January of the following year.
This year’s expected makeover matches up with the timeline from past years, according to the Daily Mail.
“In 2024, the holiday version of the attraction opened earlier than usual in July,” the newspaper reported.
