The heat advisory originally set to expire Tuesday night has been extended for another day due to ongoing high-pressure conditions, which are also contributing to poor air quality across the Southern California region.
While the hazy air may pose issues for sensitive groups, most areas can expect continued clear skies, except for some coastal spots near the Pacific, where minor cloud coverage may be present.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the heat wave will persist for at least a few more days. However, a slight drop in temperatures is forecast just in time for the weekend, bringing some relief to all regions.
