One of America’s most popular fast food chains has opened a new location in one of the busiest shopping centers in the region.
Chick-fil-A held its grand opening for its first location in Camarillo, located within the Camarillo Premium Outlets outdoor mall off of the 101 Freeway.

The new restaurant celebrated Thursday with a ribbon cutting, and 100 of its first customers were “community heroes” who were given free Chick-fil-A for a year.
The new restaurant will be owned and operated by Thad Ewing, a U.S. Air Force veteran and former Los Angeles County Fire Department captain.
“I am very grateful for my time in the Los Angeles County Fire Department and am thankful for all the outstanding Fire Service and Law Enforcement personnel who work hard to keep our community safe,” Ewing said in a news release provided by the fast food company. “We look forward to supporting them and all of our Guests in a myriad of ways as a beacon of hospitality in Camarillo.”

In addition to hiring 80 people to staff the new business, Chick-fil-A says Ewing will make a $25,000 donation to a local food bank organization, and enroll in a company program that redirects excess food to local organizations to reduce waste.
The new Camarillo Chick-fil-A is located at 670 Ventura Blvd. in the Camarillo Premium Outlets outdoor shopping center. It’s open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Like all Chick-fil-A restaurants, it will be closed on Sundays.
