A 29-year-old Long Beach man was arrested last week after he met up at a motel with a teenage girl for “lewd purposes.”
That girl, police said, was reported missing by her family back in early March and was the subject of a missing persons investigation.
The unidentified teen had last been seen on March 4, and desperate family members filed a missing persons report in hope of locating her.
Long Beach Police Department detectives were able to eventually track down her location to a motel on the 4000 block of Long Beach Boulevard.
Last Friday, LBPD detectives responded to the motel and located the missing teen, as well as Joshua Stephen Brown, 29, who was booked on one count of arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd purposes.
The investigation remains ongoing, and Long Beach Police Chief Wally Hebeish says the case is a “testament to the relentless work and dedication of our detectives and officers.”
