Although no one won the $358 million Mega Millions jackpot in Tuesday night’s drawing, one lucky player in California won a $2.2 million prize.
The winning ticket, which matched five numbers plus a 3x multiplier, was sold at Miss Q’s convenience store at 8383 Washington Street in San Francisco. Without the multiplier, the ticket would have been worth $754,000.
The winning numbers were 6, 43, 52, 64, 65, with a Mega Ball of 22. Since there was no jackpot winner, the estimated prize for Friday’s drawing has now surged to $381 million.
In California, proceeds from lottery ticket sales benefit public education. According to officials, this funding raised more than $2 billion during the 2023-24 fiscal year.
