Thousands of spectators are expected to gather in Big Bear this weekend for the USA Cycling National Championship downhill race, part of a multi-day event featuring both amateur and pro riders.
The competition runs Friday through Sunday at Snow Summit in Big Bear Lake, serving as Round 4 of the 2025 Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series.

Races will take place on modified versions of the 10-Ply and Dual Slalom trails, which will be closed to the public during the event. Course updates include new jumps, optional lines and other technical features tailored for advanced riders.
Spectators can access viewing areas by hiking, riding the Scenic Sky Chair or purchasing one-way lift tickets on-site. Trail access and closures are subject to change, and the public is advised to watch for active race traffic.
The weekend also includes a free concert by Common Kings on Saturday, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the base of Snow Summit. The all-ages performance follows the day’s downhill finals and will feature songs from the band’s Grammy-nominated and recent albums.
