More than 100 additional Rite Aid locations have been designated for closure as the retail pharmacy chain continues to navigate its second bankruptcy filing. With the latest list of stores, outlined in court documents filed last week, more than 700 stores have been designated for closure since May.
The seventh round of closures includes Rite Aid stores in nearly a dozen states, with most located in California, New York, or Pennsylvania.
Like others before them, these closures are pending court approval and could face objections. Nonetheless, Rite Aid has identified these locations for closure:

More than 700 Rite Aid stores have been listed for closure. Below is an interactive list of those locations:
The exact timeline of when these stores will close hasn’t been released. Local officials in several impacted communities have, however, shared notices it has received from the retailer regarding impending closures.
In Bakersfield, California, for example, a Rite Aid identified among the hundreds set to close will shutter by July 1, Nexstar’s KGET reports.
These impending closures don’t come as much of a surprise. Last month, Rite Aid listed nearly all of its 1,240 stores for sale as part of the bankruptcy process. As of June 15, Rite Aid lists 1,207 stores on its website. Two dozen Rite Aid stores have closed in Pennsylvania since early May, while California, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Virginia have all seen at least one location shutter.
Similar retail pharmacy chains may, however, be taking over those storefronts. As part of a May bidding process, CVS agreed to acquire and operate 64 Rite Aid stores in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Specific details on this process, which is subject to final approval, have not been released. Walgreens, meanwhile, reached an agreement with Rite Aid to acquire prescription files from some of its pharmacy locations across nine states.
Rite Aid previously said stores would remain open as they work with customers to transfer their prescriptions elsewhere, while pharmacies poised to take on Rite Aid customers say they’re prepared to help during the transition.
