Police release 2015 video of suspect in woman’s brutal slaying

An unsolved murder from 2015 might have the potential for new leads after the Riverside Police Department released decade-old security footage that they believe shows the killer.

On Tuesday, police released the footage of a possible suspect in the violent killing of  61-year-old Glenda Miller.

Glenda Miller, 61, is seen in this undated photo provided by the Riverside Police Department. Miller was stabbed to death on Nov. 7, 2015, and her murder remains unsolved.

Miller died on the evening of Nov. 7, 2015, after she was stabbed multiple times by an unknown assailant. Police found her on the 1900 block of Massachusetts Avenue in Riverside in grave condition, and she was transported to a local hospital where she died from her wounds.

A suspect was described as a light-skinned man, possibly white or Hispanic, in his 20s with a thin build who was wearing all black. He was last seen running west on Massachusetts Avenue toward Kansas Avenue, police said.

Security footage from nearby on East La Cadena Drive captured a man walking on the side of the road shortly after the attack.

A portion of that footage was released by the Police Department on Tuesday; officials did not state if the video was new to detectives or if they’d previously had it as part of their investigation.

The released video can be found here. If you recognize the man in the footage, or if you have any information about the murder of Glenda Miller, you are urged to contact the RPD Homicide Cold Case Unit by email or by calling 951-353-8000.
