Southern California hospital looking to identify patient hospitalized for over a month

A Southern California hospital is asking for the public’s help to identify a man who’s been receiving care for more than a month.

The unidentified man was brought to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard on the morning of Aug. 10.

The man was found around 2 a.m. on the 3100 block of Albany Drive in a residential neighborhood in Oxnard.

Officials for Dignity Health say the man has no documentation or other proof of his identity. They did not say the type of medical care he was receiving nor why he could not identify himself.

He’s described as a Latino man in his mid-50s with brown eyes and gray hair. He’s about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs around 145 pounds, Dignity Health officials said.

Additionally, he also has a small tattoo of the the letter J on the top of his left forearm.

The hospital is continuing to search for the man’s identity or any family members, and is asking anyone with information to contact the hospital’s discharge planner at 805-988-2704.

Due to patient confidentiality laws, the man’s current medical condition was not disclosed.
