Authorities alerted all students, staff and visitors to stay away from the University of Southern California campus on Sunday due to a reported bomb threat.
“A bomb threat was reported at Leavey & Doheny Memorial Libraries at University Park Campus,” USC stated on social media around 2:45 p.m. “Stay away from the area.”
Details are limited, but a second update shared just before 4 p.m. said the threat was under investigation and again asked that community members stay away.
According to the USC website, the Department of Public Safety will assess the threat and advise building occupants if it is necessary to evacuate the building.
“If it is necessary to evacuate, assemble in your building’s evacuation assembly area and remain 300 feet away from the building until advised to return,” USC’s protocol says.
This is a developing story. Stay with KTLA for updates.
