Anaheim police are investigating the death of an unhoused woman who was found bloodied and unconscious in a tent early Tuesday morning.
Around 3 a.m., members of the Anaheim police and fire departments responded to the 2100 block of West Crescent Avenue after the woman was discovered inside a tent in a “large unoccupied field” on the north side of the street.
She was described as “unconscious and bleeding,” and was pronounced dead at the scene. Anaheim police immediately determined that her death was the result of a homicide.
She’s been identified as Jessica Elaine Crummel, 43, of Anaheim, and police say she may have been living out of a tent at the time of her death.
