Wilson Fire prompts evacuations in San Bernardino County; forward progress halted

The video above is regarding a different fire in the area.

As multiple wildfires burn across Southern California, a new vegetation fire in San Bernardino County has prompted immediate evacuations and temporary road closures.

The Wilson Fire, though reported at only one acre in size, led authorities to issue evacuation orders for the area bounded by Phelan Road to Wilson Ranch Road, and Nielson Road to Sonora Ranch Road, according to Cal Fire San Bernardino.

The blaze was first reported Sunday around 5 p.m., and as of 6:13 p.m., fire officials confirmed that the forward rate of progress had been stopped, indicating that containment efforts were holding the fire within established control lines.

In response to the fire activity and for public safety, Wilson Ranch Road to Phelan Road has been closed until further notice.

Officials have not yet released details about the cause of the fire or potential damage to property. Crews remain on the scene to monitor flare-ups and ensure the fire remains contained.

This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
