Dan Albano’s Fab 5 outstanding girls basketball players for last week, Feb. 12, 2026:

Camaila Carigma, Savanna, Sr., G

Carigma scored 24 points to help the Rebels defeat Anaheim 56-53 to claim a second consecutive Coast League title.

Ellie Frazier, Esperanza, Sr., F

Frazier scored a season-high 14 points with nine rebounds and four steals to help the Aztecs rally past Villa Park 37-36 for an undefeated Crestview League title.

Rachel Goran, Mater Dei, Sr., G

Goran scored a career-high 14 points, including four 3-pointers, with three steals and two defensive charges to help the Monarchs defeat JSerra 60-46 for an undefeated Trinity League title.

Ta’Niya Paul, Kennedy, Fr., F

Paul made 7 of 9 shots from the floor and all six of her free throws to score 18 points in a 67-37 win against Tustin that helped the Fighting Irish earn a share of the Golden West League title. She also had 14 rebounds, six assists, five steals and three blocks.

Kayla Watanabe, Orange Lutheran, So., G

Watanabe scored 32 points, including seven 3-pointers, in a 62-54 victory against Santa Margarita in playoff for second place in the Trinity League. She tied single-game school records for points and 3-pointers.
