Bushfire Kitchen has announced it will open a restaurant in Brea this fall. it will be the Carlsbad-based chain’s second location in Orange County and 10th overall.
Bushfire Kitchen describes itself as “fast healthy casual” and boasts scratch cooking and comfort foods made with premium meats and locally sourced produce. The menu includes burgers, sandwiches, salads, bowls and plates such as Peri Peri Chicken and Chimichurri Tri-Tip.
Bushfire Kitchen is also known for its sweet and savory empanadas. Empanada of the month for April is Blueberry & Cream.
It will occupy space that was formerly Rubio’s Coastal Grill at 765 E. Birch St., Suite 101 in Brea Marketplace, across the street from Brea Mall. It will seat 40 customers inside and 30 more on a shaded and heated patio, according to a news release.
The chain’s first Orange County restaurant opened last year in Mission Viejo. Its first Los Angeles County location is underway in Long Beach and expected to open this summer.
