Car consumers, enthusiasts get look under hood of newest models

The Orange County Auto Show rolled into the Anaheim Convention Center on Thursday.

The four-day show, meant to allow consumers to kick the tires without the pressure of a sale, will feature electric, hybrid and traditional models from more than 27 automakers. And many offer test drives.

Gleaming under the convention center’s lights are vehicles of all shapes, colors and price points, including some ultra-high-end vehicles from automakers such as Bentley, Lamborghini and McLaren.

Attendees can also get a taste of what driving an EV is like at the SoCal Electrified Ride Experience. It is showcasing rides with professional drivers behind the wheel of new EVs — from Cadillac, Ford, Kia or Nissan — on a large indoor track.
