Orange County’s LGBTQ+ community and its allies celebrated its resilience and unity at the annual OC Pride Festival on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the OC Fair & Event Center.
“The Orange County community is always showing up for each other. We see people from Anaheim to San Clemente, from our beach towns to our inland cities. We really bring neighbors, families, local and small businesses together,” Manny Muro, vice president of OC Pride, said. “It’s really a local, homegrown festival.”
The festival moved to the fairgrounds last year, and this year added a family camp area where parents and kids could play games and earn merit badges, among other new offerings.
The Blaze It Forward Parade kicked off the day and there was entertainment, resource sharing, a marketplace and more throughout the afternoon.
