Disneyland annual passholders who didn’t move fast enough when reservations became available for the 70th anniversary of the Anaheim theme park will miss out on the festivities and have to wait to see the new Walt Disney audio-animatronic figure.
All Magic Key reservations are unavailable for Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on July 17 — the date Disneyland opened in 1955.

Inspire and Believe Key reservations are no longer available for July 17, according to the Disneyland website. Enchant and Imagine keyholders are blocked out of Disneyland and DCA on July 17.
Disneyland makes reservations available on a rolling basis 90 days out on the Magic Key website.

Additional Magic Key reservations for May 16 and July 17 could become available at any time if passholders cancel their plans or Disneyland decides to make more reservations available.
Disneyland finalized a $9.5 million class action lawsuit in 2024 that alleged the park artificially limited Magic Key capacity and restricted passholder reservations.

Disneyland passholders will have plenty of opportunities between May 16 and July 17 to see the four entertainment offerings planned for the 70th anniversary celebration — Paint the Night nighttime parade and “Wondrous Journeys” fireworks show at Disneyland and Better Together parade and “World of Color Happiness” water show at DCA.
Two additional shows will debut at Disneyland on July 17 — “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” in the Main Street Opera House and the “Last Verse” short film in the Main Street Cinema on Main Street U.S.A.
Daily tickets on May 16 and July 17 cost $196 for a single park and $271 for a parkhopper.
The Disneyland Anniversary discount package makes tickets available for as low as $100 for a one-day, one-park ticket good for May 16 through Aug. 14 when prices typically hover between $142 and $206.
The summer deal includes a $400 4-day ticket and a $360 3-day ticket — each good for one park per day. Parkhopper upgrades and Lightning Lane add-ons are available.
