Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration that kicked off in May and got a boost in July on the park’s birthday will press pause on several entertainment offerings rolled out for the yearlong party so the Anaheim theme park can get ready for the Halloween and Christmas seasons.
Oogie Boogie Bash kicks off on Aug. 17 at Disney California Adventure while Halloween Time starts on Aug. 22 at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Both events run through Oct. 31.
The winter holiday season returns to Disneyland and DCA from Nov. 14 to Jan. 7.

Some of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary entertainment lineup will temporarily pause in August to make way for the Halloween and Christmas seasonal entertainment offerings that will run until early January.

Here are the final performance dates for Disneyland’s 70th anniversary entertainment before the Halloween season begins, according to the Disneyland website.
- Better Together parade – Aug. 3
- Celebrate Happy Cavalcade – Aug. 21
- “Wondrous Journeys” fireworks show – Aug. 21
“Wondrous Journeys” will briefly return on select dates between the Halloween and Christmas seasons before pausing again during the winter holidays.

The Paint the Night parade at Disneyland will continue through the Halloween season before pausing during the winter holidays.
The paused 70th anniversary entertainment lineup will resume shortly after the conclusion of the winter holiday season on Jan. 7.
Not all the 70th anniversary entertainment will pause during the Halloween and Christmas holiday seasons.

The new “World of Color Happiness” will continue to play on DCA’s Paradise Bay instead of the “Villainous” Halloween and “Season of Light” Christmas versions of the water show.
The 70th anniversary “Tapestry of Happiness” projection show will also continue to play throughout both the Halloween and Christmas seasons on the It’s a Small World facade in Disneyland.

The Frightfully Fun parade will run on select nights during DCA’s separate-admission Oogie Boogie Bash after-hours event starting on Aug. 17. Disneyland’s “Halloween Screams” fireworks show and Mickey & Friends Halloween Cavalcade start on Aug. 22.

The “Believe in Holiday Magic” fireworks show and A Christmas Fantasy parade at Disneyland and the Viva Navidad Street Party and Disney’s Festival of the Holidays at Disney California Adventure return on Nov. 14 for the winter holiday season.
The new 70th anniversary attraction lineup won’t be impacted by the holiday entertainment shuffle.

The Main Street Opera House has the new “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” animatronic show while It’s a Small World has added a new final verse to the earworm song, the Main Street Cinema will continue to celebrate the Sherman Brothers songwriting team and Toy Story Midway Mania will offer a 70th anniversary game overlay.

Three more shows will be paused during the Halloween season, according to the Disneyland website. Here are the final performance dates before the Halloween season begins:
- “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live” (Disney Theater) – Aug. 16
- “Pixar Pals Playtime Party” (Fantasyland Theater) – Aug. 21
- “Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Blast” (Tomorrowland Terrace Stage) – Aug. 21
“Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live” in the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land will be replaced with “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” during the Halloween season.
