Disneyland to pause 70th anniversary entertainment during Halloween and Christmas

Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration that kicked off in May and got a boost in July on the park’s birthday will press pause on several entertainment offerings rolled out for the yearlong party so the Anaheim theme park can get ready for the Halloween and Christmas seasons.

Oogie Boogie Bash kicks off on Aug. 17 at Disney California Adventure while Halloween Time starts on Aug. 22 at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Both events run through Oct. 31.

The winter holiday season returns to Disneyland and DCA from Nov. 14 to Jan. 7.
