Former OC Register humorist Jeff Kramer returns for a book signing

Longtime readers may remember former Orange County Register humor columnist Jeff Kramer, who left Southern California in 2003 for the frozen wastelands of Syracuse, New York, to live near his wife’s family.

Since then, he’s written and produced three plays, a blog and now a humorous novel entitled “Mud Season,” recently published by Koehler Books.

He’ll be reading from the novel at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Arvida Book Co. at 115 W. Main Street, Old Town Tustin.

Former colleague Marla Jo Fisher, better known as the Frumpy Middle-aged Mom columnist for Southern California News Group, will be interviewing him at the reading. Tickets are free. You can RSVP here and buy a book for signing, if desired.

Kramer is most fondly remembered by his former colleagues for the time he brought a live emu into the office of the top editor of the Orange County Register. The creature promptly defecated onto the carpet.
