Hidden House Coffee opens new South County location

Hidden House Coffee has opened its third location in San Clemente, on the heels of the company celebrating its 15th anniversary. Located inside the Plaza Pacific Shopping Center, the new coffeehouse takes over the former site of Cafe Hermosa.

In an April message posted to Instagram, founder Ben Briggs announced the acquisition of Cafe Hermosa, which he has since reimagined with the new Hidden House Coffee. The new location opened in mid-July.

While the newest Hidden House is in a more contemporary location than its San Juan Capistrano spot (housed inside a 120-year-old craftsman abode), it still offers the same comfy and inviting vibe. Inside, a vintage leather couch and matching chairs sit next to table and bench seating. A black wall with globe sconces is opposite a brick wall. The space also features Hidden House’s signature toile-patterned wallpaper.

Outside, ample bench seating is available for those who prefer sipping their coffee al fresco.
