The wait is over. High school football is starting Thursday night in Orange County.
There are several good matchups on the schedule, starting with Yorba Linda vs. Mayfair at SoFi Stadium at 5 p.m. Most of the other games Thursday are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., although there is a chance that some games will start 20-30 minutes or more later because of the extreme heat in areas.
PREGAME PREP
Also on the schedule Thursday is an interesting matchup between Anaheim and Fullerton, two of the oldest high schools in Orange County.
Check out Michael Huntley’s story on the game and the teams involved. He also writes about Irvine vs. Northwood, also a long rivalry but now with a different twist, and the debut of the youngest head coach in Orange County.
