Apple’s story: Some animals don’t ask for much. They just quietly wait, hoping someone will see them. Apple entered a shelter as a stray. She had no known history, no one looking for her – just a pair of soulful eyes watching people come and go, passing her by. She was listed as 4 years old, but Labs and Friends thought she had a bit more wisdom under her collar, maybe 6 or 7 years worth. With that age comes something wonderful: calm companionship, steady loyalty and a heart that knows how to love deeply. That’s all Apple is looking for. Not dog parks or crowded beaches. Just a person, her person, who will adopt her and let her be their only pet, lavish her with love, provide slow walks and quiet evenings. If your idea of happiness is a gentle nudge of a nose, soft eyes that follow you from room to room, and a best friend who appreciates life’s simple moments, Apple may be your girl. Whether you can foster or adopt, you could be the second chance she’s been hoping for.
