The Orange County girls basketball rankings as of Tuesday, Jan. 6. The team records are through Monday, Jan. 5.

Notable this week: JSerra climbs two spots to No. 1 after defeating previously top-ranked Fairmont Prep 51-33 in the Premier Division final at the SoCal Holiday Prep Classic in San Diego. … Troy leaps five spots to No. 7 on the strength of an impressive victory against Beckman at the Marina tournament. … Orange Lutheran rises one place to No. 9 after capturing the WNBA Bronze Division at the SoCal Holiday Prep Classic.

ORANGE COUNTY GIRLS BASKETBALL TOP 25

1. JSerra (15-2): Kayla Rice had 23 points and 11 rebounds in a 58-48 win against visiting Centennial on Monday.

2. Fairmont Prep (8-8): The Huskies’ schedule stays tough this week with games against Centennial, Archbishop Mitty and La Jolla Country Day.

3. Mater Dei (12-4): The Monarchs play Caruthers and Francis Parker on Friday and Saturday at the Kay Yow Showcase.
