Orange Lutheran’s girls flag football program features arguably the best player in Southern California but the Lancers are far from a one-person team.

They proved that again Saturday to remain undefeated.

Backup quarterback Alyssa McClure and Orange Lutheran’s defense helped produced a pair of victories with All-County QB Makena Cook unavailable.

McClure threw for 164 yards, including touchdowns to Ava Harrison and Happy Dubois, in a 13-12 victory against Roosevelt.

Claire Dahman had an interception to help lead the Lancers’ defense.

Orange Lutheran (12-0), ranked No. 1 in Orange County, opened Saturday by defeating McClatchy of Sacramento 13-0.

McClure, a junior, passed for 160 yards, including touchdowns to Anna Paquette and Josie Anderson.

Capri Cuneo, a sophomore, snagged three interceptions as the Lancers posted their fifth shutout.
